Born in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted into a farming family in Kansas, Amy's early experiences of marginalization in rural America ignited a deep sense of responsibility towards others and a strong belief in uplifting those without a voice.

From an early age, Amy exhibited a natural inclination towards service and advocacy. As she completed her bachelor’s degree and pursued a master’s degree while embarking on her professional career, she found herself drawn to the field of Human Resources, recognizing it as a platform to make a tangible difference in people's lives. Amy's roles within HR, including her current position as a Human Resources Manager, have allowed her to directly support and uplift employees, advocating for their rights and well-being in the workplace.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Amy's heart lies in community service. For years, she has been actively involved in various non-profit organizations and initiatives aimed at addressing systemic challenges and improving the quality of life for marginalized individuals and families in her community. Whether it's volunteering with Reading Partners to help children develop vital literacy skills or leading fundraising efforts for United Way campaigns, Amy's commitment to service leaves a lasting impression.

Amy's commitment to social justice extends to her advocacy for policy reform at both the local and state levels. As President of the Oklahoma Federation for Hawaiian Asian American Pacific Islanders, she works tirelessly to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities and advance policies that promote equity and inclusion for all.

Central to Amy's personal mission is her involvement with the Khan Ohana Foundation, where she serves as a dedicated supporter and representative. Inspired by the Foundation's vision to break the cycle of generational poverty, Amy is deeply committed to driving meaningful change within her community. She believes in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and access to resources to create a brighter future for all.
