About Khan Ohana

Khan Ohana Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2016 to create a comprehensive effort to prevent students from dropping out.

College students nationwide were dropping out or falling behind in their academic endeavors due to hunger. Although individual efforts are being made and campus pantries are springing up to address this issue, there is a lack of comprehensive effort to tackle this problem.

 

Almost two-thirds of children come from homes eligible for Federal Nutrition programs

Household income less than 185% of state poverty threshold of $49,025.

Nearly one in four undergrads experience food insecurity

Per the National Center for Education Statistics at the US Department of Education

More than one in five children go to bed hungry in Oklahoma

How do we serve?

Khan Ohana supplies college students with food, personal hygiene items, and other essentials. If you are a student in need of support, please fill out one of our forms below. We will contact you as soon as possible. Our focus is to ensure you get what you need so that you may embark on a successful journey.

 

We are so much more than ramen! While we started as a small food pantry, Khan Ohana has evolved, creating programs to fill the needs where there was a gap in basic needs.
